Flyers Sign F Mike Vecchione to Entry Level Contract

Former 18U Senator signs 1st Pro Contract!

Former 18U Senator player Mike Vecchione signed his first pro contract today with the Philadelphia Flyers. Vecchione a member of the Senators program in 2010 as a member of Malden Catholic is also a candidate for this year's Hobey Baker Award as the top collegiate hockey player in the country.

Some notes on his career:

Mike has recorded 29 goals and 34 assists for 63 points, all of which are new career highs to lead his team, and finished tied for first among all NCAA Players.

29 goals lead ECAC and 2nd in Nation.

He was named the ECAC Player of the Year was named ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team for three straight seasons.

In 4 seasons at Union College, he recorded 71 goals and 105 assists for 176 points in 149 games and is the all-time leading scorer for Union… He served as team captain in his final two seasons.

Won National Championship at Union in 2014.
